Nantong University Scholarship for Foreign Students

Overview

The Nantong University Scholarship for Foreign Students is a university-funded program launched in 2015 to support international students in undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. Undergraduate scholarships are limited to International Economics and Trade; all graduate programs are open.

Coverage/Benefits

Undergraduate students receive 10,000 RMB per year. Master’s students receive full tuition waivers. Doctoral students receive full tuition waivers, accommodation, health insurance, and a 3,000 RMB monthly living allowance. Airfare and settlement allowance are not covered.

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health. Undergraduate applicants must hold a high school diploma and be no older than 30 years old. Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree; doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree and be no older than 40 years old.

Application

Applications are accepted from March 1 to June 30 each year. Applicants must apply via Nantong University’s online application system at https://ntu.17gz.org/member/login.do.

Documents

Required documents include the Nantong University Study Abroad Application Form, notarized certificate of highest education, academic transcripts with notarized Chinese or English translations, a study or research plan (500+ words, English), and two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors (for graduate applicants).
