Yunnan University Scholarship

Overview

This scholarship is open to all international students admitted to undergraduate, master's, or doctoral programmes at Yunnan University. Applicants must abide by Chinese laws and university regulations, and be in good health per national standards.

Coverage/Benefits

Covers tuition and accommodation fees for the full duration of study: four years for undergraduates, three years for master's, and four years for doctoral students.

Eligibility

Applicants must have appropriate prior qualifications: high school diploma (≤24 years old) for undergraduate, bachelor’s degree (≤35 years old) for master’s, or master’s degree (≤40 years old) for doctoral studies. Language requirement: HSK level 4 or above for undergraduate; HSK level 5 or above for master’s or doctoral programmes.

Application

Applications must be submitted by May 20 each year, either in person, by post, or via entrusted representative.

Documents

Required documents include the relevant Yunnan University scholarship application form, foreigner’s physical examination record, notarised highest academic degree certificate and transcripts, study or research plan (≥800 words), two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, copies of published articles, HSK certificate, three recent passport-sized photos, and passport copy.
