Coverage/Benefits

Eligibility

Master's applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and be under 35; doctoral applicants must hold a master's degree and be under 40. Language requirements vary: for Chinese-taught programmes, HSK 4 scores differ by discipline (e.g., 180+ for Arts, 195+ for Science/Engineering); for English-taught programmes, TOEFL ≥80 (IBT) or IELTS ≥5.5 is required. Applicants must have foreign nationality, good conduct, good academic records, and no concurrent scholarships.

Applicants must mail hard-copy application materials to the International Students Office at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology and simultaneously send scanned copies to [email protected].

Documents

Required documents include: (1) Presidential Scholarship Application Form; (2) passport copy; (3) highest education certificate (original or notarised, with Chinese/English translation if needed); (4) transcripts (with translation); (5) study or research plan in Chinese or English; (6) two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors; (7) Foreigner Physical Examination Form (valid for six months); (8) language proficiency proof (HSK, TOEFL, or IELTS); (9) academic papers or achievements (if any); (10) other documents as notified.
